2019 – Up to 550,000 Consecutive Hours Without a Lost-time Accident

The QMA’s 55th annual Health and Safety Symposium, held on September 17, 2019, honoured 13 CMM employees with a recognition award for their efforts and those of their teams to achieve between 50,000 and 550,000 consecutive hours without a lost-time accident.

2019 – CMM Wins 3rd Place at the Gala national des Grands Prix SST

CMM won 3rd place in the “Innovation – Large Business” category at the 14th Gala national des Grands Prix santé et sécurité du travail (national OHS grand prize gala) held at the Québec City Convention Centre on April 30, 2019, for its rolling warehouse ladder with a hoist attachment. This innovative project reduces the risk of falls for warehouse workers.

2018 – CMM Wins the OHS Grand Prize: Innovation – Large Business Category

CMM was awarded the CNESST Occupational Health and Safety Grand Prize in the “Innovation – Large Business” category at the 30th Abitibi-Témiscamingue Health and Safety Symposium held in Rouyn-Noranda on October 23 and 24, 2018. The winning project involved designing a rolling warehouse ladder with a hoist attachment to reduce the risk of falls and musculoskeletal disorders among warehouse workers. The new ladder makes employees’ work environment even safer.

2018 – 15 CMM Supervisors Recognized for Their OHS Efforts

The Québec Mining Association’s annual Health and Safety Symposium, held on September 18, 2018, recognized the efforts of 15 CMM supervisors and those of their teams to achieve between 50,000 and 500,000 consecutive hours without a lost-time accident.

2017 – 12 CMM Supervisors Honoured by the QMA

The Québec Mining Association’s 53rd annual Health and Safety Symposium, held on September 19, 2017, recognized the efforts of 12 CMM supervisors and those of their teams to achieve between 50,000 and 450,000 consecutive hours without a lost-time accident.

2016 – 9 CMM Employees Recognized at the Abitibi-Témiscamingue OHS Symposium

Nine CMM employees received certificates in recognition of their innovative workplace safety and prevention ideas at the 28th annual Abitibi-Témiscamingue occupational health and safety symposium held by the Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (Labour standards, equity, health and safety commission – CNESST) and the Integrated health and social services centre of Abitibi-Témiscamingue on October 25 and 26, 2016.
